Description
Looking for white water rafting in Dublin for your stag do? Just 15 minutes from the city centre, the River Liffey has proper rapids and weirs to paddle through, and it is one of the few places where you can go rafting without leaving Dublin. Your group shares the rafts only with each other, with an experienced guide on board every raft.
What to expect
Your group meets at the rafting base on the River Liffey in Palmerstown, where you change into the gear provided. A short shuttle then takes you to the start point, about 10 minutes away. The trip itself takes around 2 to 2.5 hours of paddling, splashing and dropping over weirs, and finishes back at the base, where hot showers and changing rooms are waiting.
No experience is needed. Your guide explains everything before you get on the water and steers the raft through the rapids, so all you have to do is paddle when told and hold on.
